Reels Counter and history
- Reels Counter: Added optional counting for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels, displayed directly in the closed notch. Counts confirmed new video landings without requiring complete playback.
- Daily totals and history: Added combined and per-app daily counts, a seven-day chart and date selection to explore saved history. Turning tracking off preserves previous counts.
- Automatic daily reset: Today’s count starts fresh at local midnight while earlier totals remain saved. Uses the device’s timezone and handles daylight saving.
- Dedicated Reels menu: Added tracking controls, supported-app selection, app-logo preferences, Facebook matching controls and confirmed history clearing.
Backup and notch controls
- Backup and restore: Added manual backup of Favorites, Quick Access, custom folders, app selections, notch settings, Shelf notes and images, reel preferences and daily count history. Restore merges saved content with the current setup and avoids duplicating the same backup.
- Live notch adjustments: Position and size controls now preview changes using the actual floating notch.
Counter improvements
- Cleaner counter interface: Made tracking controls more compact, highlighted Accessibility settings actions, simplified explanations and removed development compatibility checks and asterisk suffixes.
- Counter appearance: Improved the content container to prevent clipping and updated Instagram, YouTube Shorts and Facebook logos.
- Detection improvements: Improved YouTube Shorts and Facebook recognition. Reduced unnecessary Instagram processing that could contribute to delayed updates.
- Passive counter behavior: The notch stays closed while the reel counter is visible. Normal opening resumes when the counter disappears. Timer and Focus controls retain priority.
Privacy, compatibility and release preparation
- Privacy and consent: Added clearer optional Accessibility consent and daily-history disclosures. Viewing information is processed locally, and history is included in a backup only when the user exports one.
- 16 KB compatibility: Updated the storage dependency to address the native-library layout issue flagged by Play Console for devices using 16 KB memory pages.
- Release preparation: Completed the Accessibility declaration and review video, clearing both duplicate undeclared-permission errors.
Things to know
- Counting can still miss videos when supported apps expose incomplete information or scrolling is very fast.
- Backups must be created before uninstalling to preserve data.
